We received the ‘Studio Culture’ book this week through the post and what a great book it is. It’s really well put together – both the design and the content. It was also signed by Tony Brook from Spin! Definitely worth getting hold of …

We’re also featured in Unit Editions’ ‘Your Studio’ collection, showcasing studios around the world.

For all you lego fans out there – this is ‘immense’ (David@Nixon)!

It seems there are great uses for Augmented Reality after all…

One of the coolest things I saw at Flash on the Beach is the ‘Megaphone‘ application, developed by a team which includes the Flash guru Colin Moock.

Imagine playing multi-player action games on a huge screen (Picadilly, Times Square, Newquay Boardmasters, MTV Awards) all controlled via your mobile phone!

The possibilities are endless – anyone fancy giving it a go? Check out www.playmegaphone.com for some video demonstrations.

Move over Playstation, here’s Flash Unity 3D – STAR WARS

Online browser gaming has raised the bar further with the Unity 3D plugin for Flash games.

The latest Star Wars game from Lego – The Quest for R2-D2 demonstrates an interactive experience that matches anything on the previous generation of Playstation (2) and possibly more.

This same technology can be used on an iPhone or iPod touch, so expect to see virtual worlds becoming the norm on a range of platforms.

Check out the game (you will have to install the plugin), it is worth it!
