What a 2015 it’s been. We’ve branded a London borough, worked with hotels, colleges, wave energy sites and construction companies, and revisited old friends with new projects.

At the start of the year, we achieved the mean feat of six branding projects in one go, working with Falmouth University’s innovative tech start-up scheme, Alacrity. A launchpad programme for games designers, Alacrity grows graduate ideas into investible businesses. During our time there, we helped uncover six sets of brand values, shaped six tones of voice and designed six unique logos (and had great fun trying out a virtual reality headset).

From brand new businesses to long-standing clients, we were thrilled to be asked to work on a fifth iteration of The Lost Gardens of Heligan website; marking a relationship that’s lasted twenty years.

During the summer, our user experience (UX) team pulled out all the stops to design and develop a new website for Truro and Penwith College. With a sophisticated search wizard to sort over 700 course options, the site represents hours of painstaking planning, mapping and testing.

In October, we travelled to Romford in London for an exciting new marketing project in partnership with Havering Council. The town’s new brand will be unveiled soon, but in the meantime we’ve launched its star-spangled ‘Romford for Christmas’ campaign.

As another year begins, our 2016 calendar for Italian paper specialist Fedrigoni will be popping up on desks everywhere. Made up of individual elements that can be reassembled by hand, it’s already generating an enormous amount of feedback. Get a sneak preview here.

Aside from the day job, we’ve attended conferences in London and Brighton, poured drinks at the Royal Cornwall Show, and sponsored both the Cornwall Tourism Awards and the installation of Dawn French as Chancellor of Falmouth University. Perhaps the strangest moment was when Prime Minister David Cameron made an impromptu appearance at one of our meetings.

With December well underway, we’re bedecked, bedazzled and busy working on new projects for 2016. We’ll be knee-deep in mince pies and Home Alone from 23 December but will return in full force on 4 January. Look out for new websites including the Duchy of Cornwall, Luxury Family Hotels and Cornwall Airport Newquay, a range of packaging for a luxury spa, and a new brand for holiday lettings specialists Latitude50.
