Our annual round up of the year’s projects with some great clients, from designers and holiday lettings to a national food manufacturer.

This year, we’ve joined up with new clients, worked on national projects and welcomed new members to the Nixon team.

Tom Raffield

We were thrilled to be able to work with a renowned Cornish brand, building a bespoke shop-front website to showcase and sell Tom Raffield’s unique products. Beautifully efficient across all devices and capable of handling high traffic, the website increased the business’ revenue by 150% and the customer conversion rate by 50%.

Lantic Bay Holidays

We relished the opportunity to help a brand new company build an identity that reflected the beauty of the Cornish landscape, mastering a tone of voice that was authentic to their values.

Carbis Bay

With many recent developments to the Carbis Bay Estate, a new website was needed to show off the many facets of this unique coastal brand. Commissioning photography by Anya Rice, we created a website that allowed its visuals to speak for the hotel’s understated luxury.

Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP

We were asked by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to produce an elevator pitch prospectus that could showcase Cornwall and Isles of Scilly as the up-and-coming place to do business. We designed an arresting and bold piece of print that conveyed a lot of information in a concise and creative way.

Ginsters

Working with Thoroughbred Communications, we launched into a large-scale project with Ginsters, helping to redefine its brand strategy and redesign product packaging. We commissioned Andrew Davidson to create images by woodcarving; this handcrafted element reflects the ethos of Ginsters perfectly.

Tresco Times 2018

The 2018 issue of Tresco Times is the island’s fifth annual publication – within its pages are news, views and acres of inspiration.

Invest in Cornwall

Invest in Cornwall approached us to design booklets appealing to innovators, investors and the next generation of businesspeople. We produced compact and attractive pieces of print that enhanced the information within.

Newcomers

On top of our exciting projects, we’ve seen the Nixon team grow this year, welcoming new talent to each department in the form of four fresh faces.

Laura has joined the team as a project manager, and Alex is our new content strategist straight out of Falmouth University. Sarah is the latest addition to the design team following five years working in London, and Anthony comes from a background in art and technology to join us as a web developer. It’s a new and exciting time at Nixon, and we’re all looking forward to what 2019 will bring.

Goodbye for Christmas

As the year comes to a close and Christmas draws near, we’re getting ready to drop tools and pick up the mince pies. We’ll be out of the studio from Friday 21 December until Wednesday 2 January, when we’ll return armed with new cracker jokes (or very old ones), and ready for what promises to be a very exciting year at Nixon. Keep an eye on us to see what new projects we’ll be bringing to life here in the studio. Until then, a very merry Christmas from us all.
