Salary – up to £27,000 depending on experience

We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager with specific digital expertise, who is also comfortable managing design and copywriting projects for our clients. The role will focus on existing client growth, but also new business wins. 

Ideally, you’ll have several years’ experience working in a similar role at a creative agency. You’ll join a friendly, talented team, have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, and possess the skills required to proactively take our digital, design and copywriting services to another level. Key functions of the role:

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Arrange regular meetings with clients, either online or travelling to them where appropriate (this could be anywhere throughout the UK and can include overnight stays).
  • Deliver presentations in order to showcase Nixon’s services.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client questions and requests.
  • Be proactive in identifying and maximising account opportunities, across all the agency services.
  • Understand the client’s business and objectives; input strategically to develop creative briefs and work with the internal departments of the agency in order to develop solutions that solve these needs.
  • Write briefs for each project and agree these with the client ahead of commencing the work internally.
  • Alongside the Project Management team, create accurate quotes and negotiate agreements to maximise profits.
  • Achieve and exceed targets set by the company.
  • Produce accurate reports on the status of accounts, covering both revenue and profitability.
  • Regularly forecast for each client and carry out daily tracking of this against the current account status.
  • Regularly update clients on the current work status of their projects.
  • Attend networking events/seminars to maximise awareness of our brand.
  • Monitor the market and identify, develop and grow potential opportunities.
  • Working with the Project Management team, develop realistic and achievable timescales and budgets for projects, in line with the wider studio schedule.
  • Work with the Project Management team to monitor the progress of each project against schedule and budget.
  • Gain feedback from clients and share this with the internal team members of the agency, in order improve Nixon’s service.
  • Work with the Project Management team to keep the internal CRM system up to date, including client details, quotes, purchase orders, monitoring of project status, etc.

About the successful candidate:

  • Ideally, several years’ experience of digital account management within a creative agency.
  • Passionate about brand and design.
  • A thorough understanding of digital aspects including:
    • User experience 
    • Website design
    • Bespoke website builds (including integrations with booking engines, CRM systems etc.)
    • Technical/functional website specs
    • SEO
    • Email marketing
    • Social media marketing
    • Managing ongoing improvement plans across websites
  • Comfortable pitching alone for large-scale new website projects.
  • Ability to understand a client’s individual needs, their sector and the commercial challenges they face.
  • Demonstrable experience of nurturing relationships and building client accounts.
  • Ability to interpret client objectives into a creative brief for the internal studio team.
  • Ability to negotiate and cross-sell agency services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Naturally organised, and able to manage a portfolio of accounts.
  • Resilient and determined, with a focus on successful outcomes.
  • Financial acumen, including regular forecasting and reporting for client accounts.
