Cornwall & London

Our highly successful branding agency was established over 25 years ago. We operate from a beautiful studio space in Cornwall, literally minutes from the coast, and a light-filled office in leafy Clerkenwell, London.

We’re actively looking for an experienced business development manager with the skills to help us proactively drive our thriving agency to even greater heights. You’ll join a friendly, talented team and be given the opportunity to own the full business development cycle from origination to close.

Nixon are specialists in brand strategy, offering services including creative design, web development and content creation for a diverse range of clients throughout the UK.

You’ll work closely with our account management team to identify new qualified leads (we have a lot of successful case studies in the hospitality and food sectors, so this is a great place to start) with a view to building relationships and securing future work with potential clients. You’ll also establish any existing/past clients with potential for further development.

Nixon offers an informal culture with bags of character. The team is extremely friendly, and this attitude is evident throughout the company.

You will have direct experience of selling bespoke services within the creative sector and have the ability to spot opportunities for business development. Any experience of working with food or hospitality industry clients would be a distinct advantage.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an established creative business with a great reputation. It will allow the successful candidate to take ownership of the business development function in an already flourishing agency which to date has never had one, yet has so much to offer.

Key functions of the role:

  • Build a proactive targeting plan in appropriate sectors.
  • Qualify potential leads.
  • Prepare new business proposals.
  • Create tailored credentials presentations.
  • Liaise closely with the account management team.
  • Update and maintain our business development database.
  • Attend networking events.

About the successful candidate:

  • Ideally, over four years of creative agency experience in a business development/client management role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled in negotiating.
  • Able to understand and help drive our business plan.
  • Passionate about effective design.
  • Natural problem-solver.

If this sounds like you, please contact us for further details on Oh, and strictly NO agencies. Thank you!
